Chemical ” CESA -Chemical Engineering Student Association”
Chemical Engineering Student’s Association (CESA) took birth in the year 2003 with the noble objective of providing an intellectual platform for all-round development of students of the department. It functions in an environment of fellow-feeling and brotherhood. CESA now has a membership consisting of 198 students from second, third and final year students.
Activities undertaken by CESA are as follows:-
- National and International level Seminars & Conferences.
- Mock Interviews for Personality Development.
- Technical Quiz to enhance students’ subject expertise.
- Debate,Essay-writing etc. to bring out the latent creative talent in them.
CSE- ASCE -Association of Computer Science and Engineering
“ASCE” is the computer engineering students association, one of the active associations of GIET, Gunupur. The association was formulated for the training of students in latest changes in the field of computers. Our vision is to be the leading association in providing services regarding technical information and services to its members and the whole GIET, Gunupur community.
The mission of the association is to provide the highest quality instruction to the students, conducting leading-edge research in computer science and engineering, and providing leadership and service to the professional communities’.
IT – SAPIENCE

EE/EEE ” TESLA -The Electrical Student Luminous Association”
Electrical Engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. It is a very broad area that encompasses the design and study of various electrical & electronic systems such as electrical circuits, electrical generators, electric motors, transformers, magnetic devices & materials, electromagnetic and electromechanical devices, electronic devices, electronic circuits, electronic materials, optical fibers, wireless, microwave systems, data communication, computer networking, nanotechnology, photonics, mechatronic systems etc.
Electrical engineering is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and motor control, whereas electronic engineering deals with the study of small-scale electronic systems including computers and integrated circuits. Alternatively, electrical engineers are usually concerned with using electricity to transmit energy, while electronic engineers are concerned with using electricity to transmit information. More recently, the distinction has become blurred by the growth of power electronics. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. The modern Electrical Engineering subject may cover a range of subtopics including power, microelectronics, VLSI, nanotechnology, control systems, mechatronics, robotics, nonlinear systems, computer engineering, systems analysis, signal processing, telecommunications, data communications, communication systems, information theory.
ECE – EONYX (http://eonyxece.com)
E-ONYX was developed by electronics and communication department on 28th feb 2008.The association name itself has a great significance.
E=Electronics, ONYX=Quartz or stone like material with different coloured layers. The association aims at:
- Encouraging students to work as team.
- Provides wings to work as team.
